Charismatic
Cheerful and close. It was impossible for him to be disliked.
He was passionate about reading books, whether they were about law, history, or literature.
He loved his family and his family loved him. He was a great father, policeman and person. He was involved and made an effort in his work, always with good attitude, which did not prevent him from becoming serious when the situation required it.
He became an Inspector at an early age.
At the age of 24 he began his internship and soon witnessed, along with his mentors, a flagrante delicto which he acted on without thinking twice. Perhaps he was reckless given his challenger status, but it worked out for him. Among the public of what happened was Koichi, who was captivated by Minato.
Minato, logically, didn't remember Koichi when, 8 years later and recently become an Inspector, showed up at his office to... Greet him. Their friendship didn't start out great but Minato made it work. He was the only person who knew how to access to the sensitive and kind Koichi ( besides Koichi's deceased parents ), and to whom he occasionally dedicated a smile.
He became Koichi's only friend and discovered his amazing ability, plus he was always willing to help him and actually got him out of trouble. But he also discovered SlayOut. He convinced Koichi how dangerous it was to lose control like that, and at one point threatened to stop being friends with him if SlayOut appeared again. Koichi didn't want that to happen, and he tried hard to stay calm, but he never quite got full control.
When he was assigned Bloody Yuki's case, he threw himself more than usual into the investigation, along with two of his subordinates: Toru and Kota. He visited Hikari in the gloomy den that he used as his residence, practically every day, to try to extract information from her. But the discoveries were insufficient and the murders kept piling up.
The only thing he achieved with his meager advances was to increase concern for the safety of him, his subordinates and his family. They had a chance to drop the case, which seemed too big for them, but Minato, still left alone, decided to go ahead.
Koichi insisted on helping him, as he was used to, but Minato rejected him, claiming that this case was special. He finally relented and on December 31, he called Koichi asking for his help. They agreed to see each other that same night, but apparently Bloody Yuki didn't like it and he killed Minato before he could meet Koichi to tell him everything he knew.
